Roach donate to Heywood "Little Monkeys" charity

Roach Dynamos last week donated £300 to Heywood Charity Little monkeys to help disadvantaged children in the town.

Roach, via the Last Man Standing competition, raised some money and as a committee has decided to give back to the local community. Roach agreed at its recent AGM that it would donate a % of any monies raised via the Last Man Standing to a Heywood Charity of the winners choosing. Simon Shard, winner of the first competition, suggested Little Monkeys . This was a well received idea to the committee as the thought that ourselves, as a Childrens football club in Heywood, can help give back to disadvantaged children within our own town was a great thing to do.

Roach visited the new premises of the charities shop on Market Street next door to Boots to present the charity with a donation.

What is “Little Monkey’s”

Their aim is “To enrich the physical, psychological and social well-being of disadvantaged children and pregnant women in Heywood, in order that the children may achieve more of their full potential as adult citizens.”
They aim to combat growing problems of poverty, malnutrition and illness in our town and give children a chance in life, regardless of their home backgrounds.

Any details on the charity can be found via the link (https://heywoodlittlemonkeys.org.uk ) and also we will have leaflets in the cafe at the Roach pitches should anyone want to know further what this great charity does.
